VP of Design

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and lead the overall design strategy for the company across all products and platforms
• Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure design aligns with overall business goals and objectives
• Lead, mentor and manage a team of designers and ensure they have the resources and support needed to deliver their best work.
• Develop and maintain design guidelines, best practices and processes to ensure consistency and quality across all products.
• Drive user research and testing to inform design decisions and improve the user experience
• Communicate design decisions and rationale effectively to stakeholders and leadership
• Stay informed of industry trends and advancements in design and technology and apply them to the company's products
• Participate in product development from concept to launch and ensure design requirements are met
• Partner with other design teams to ensure consistency across product lines.
• Represent the company in design-related events and conferences
• Collaborate with other departments such as marketing and engineering, to ensure design is integrated into all aspects of the company's operations
• Help to establish the company's design culture and promote the design team's work internally and externally.

Job Requirements

• Proven experience leading design teams and delivering successful products
• Strong portfolio showcasing experience in designing intuitive and visually appealing interfaces
• Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools
• Knowledge of current design trends and best practices
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and ability to conduct user research and testing
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and research
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
• Experience with design thinking, service design, and design systems
• Experience leading design teams in a large and complex organization
• Ability to think strategically and ability to align design with business objectives
• Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction, or related field is preferred.
